Prologue
So mysterious is he my lord god

The lord god”
The lord god he gave me my mouth’
The lord god he gave me mine eyes’
The lord god gave me wisdom of hindsight’
The lord god gave me truth the commonsense lies’
The lord god made me humble in most people eyes’
The lord god gave me the heart of a lion in size’
The lord god gave me love in my loins “sigh”
The lord god is the truth the bible wont lie’
The lord god lets me see the truth in disguise’
The lord god is the dream and dreams sometimes lie’
The lord god is my protector’
The lord god is the shepherd guiding his sheep’
The lord god is the light shining so deep’
The lord god is mysterious a man of mystery
The lord god is everyones god the belief is in he
The lord god”

Shadow Of The Cross

Shadow Of The Cross
In loving memory
Of jesus

Prologue

The Friday before Easter is the most solemn day for Christians - it is the day Jesus Christ died on the cross. As such, Good Friday is a day of mourning, and all the ceremonies and rituals of the day are centred around the feeling of sorrow at the pain and humiliation that Jesus underwent for the cause of goodness and humanity.

Standing by the shadow of the cross’
One of many but this is the one,
The one with my friend nailed to it
His name least we never forget,
Jesus of the wooden cross’

Tears rolled down my face
from my swollen eyes’
My friend from nazereth he just died,

I’m stood upon this hill’ beneath the cross’
My heart is heavy i’m at a loss
Looking up at the stars twinkling brightly
I wondered why,
So much love to give’
But he had to die.

To put the world to rights,
He gave up his life on this earth’
I prayed to forgive the evils of this place,
And for the people who betrayed my friend.

The words he said I shall never forget’
Burned into my memory forever and ever,

Forgive them father,
For they no not what they do,

The sky went black an earthly doom’
As I looked at my friend jesus on the cross,
The brightest light shone on this hill this deathly place’

I said my prayers he heard them all,

The words of lament not just for my friend’
But for the whole world’
I prayed and prayed
To carry you to your fathers home’
The land of love the  joy and the freedom,

You smiled at me in your grey shroud’
I could hear your voice amongst the crowd’
The words you gave they made me feel good,
Empty is this land and now your gone’

Look towards this land this hill’
See this cross and feel no pain’
Feel the peace within the realm
For my friend my jesus reborn again.

My jesus by the shadow of the cross.

The Cross and the Father’s Will:
The preaching and activities of Jesus provoked the admiration of the multitudes,
but also the opposition and hatred of the leaders of lsrael.

Jesus once did

In Religion on January 26, 2008 at 7:53 pm

Knowledge is the power of what’s in your head,
Harness the power turn the wine into bread,

Jesus once did,

Was it all real or just a clever trick,
Walking on water “Tell me can you do it”
Healing those lepers and healing the sick,
The powerful mind I know it’s no trick,

Paul McKenna does it,

The world is a stage someone once said,
Don’t try walking on water or recover the dead,
The past is now gone the future is here,

But remember the wine and the walking on water bit,

That Jesus once did.
